Ecocabin provides
light, airy self-catering accommodation for 4 people
with an emphasis on natural colours, clean lines and
imaginative design. The aim has been to innovate new
from old by utilising existing resources in a contemporary
style.
There is a double and a twin bedroom, each with unique
soft furnishings created by using natural dying techniques.
The bathroom is beautifully decorated with tiles by
an award winning local ceramicist.
The main living area consists of a large fully equipped
kitchen/dining room with all the appliances chosen
for their energy efficiency. Glazed doors open on
to the veranda offering stunning views of the surrounding
enclosed garden, sensitively landscaped with native
plants and trees.
The lounge is warm and inviting with a three-piece
suite, centred on a state of the art wood pellet stove.
There is a growing selection of environmentally aware
books and magazines and suggestions for additions
are encouraged!
There is a utility/drying room with large sink and
washing machine. Adjoining is the recycling room (with
outside access), which provides secure storage for
bicycles. A cot, high chair, fire guard/room divider
and play pen are available for visitors with children.
