An ancient
vicarage in 1278, the White Horse was first established
as an inn in 1750. It is part of Dorking’s rich
heritage with old oak beams, open log fires and an
inviting lounge with nooks for quiet conversation.
There is a positively Dickensian flavour about this
beautiful old coaching inn. In fact, Charles Dickens
was a visitor and did some of his writing here.
There are four poster rooms, family rooms and rooms
with garden views. All include satellite TV, iron,
trouser press & tea/coffee making facilities,
as well as broadband internet access.
Guests can make use of a leisure pass for Dorking
Leisure Centre which is about 5 minutes walk away.
The Coach House is a light & airy restaurant
overlooking the centre of Dorking. It is open every
day for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering traditional
English and international cuisine. Vegetarian and
special dietary requirements catered for on request.
There is an extensive wine list including local wines.
