We would like to work with you if you own holiday accommodation
in the UK and already demonstrate sustainable practices such as
energy reduction measures, the promotion of local and organic
food, recycling and employing locally, or if you are interested
in becoming more sustainable in the future.
We are looking for existing quality, attractive and interesting
buildings to which we can organise year-round Discovery Breaks.
Breaks include weekend, midweek and weekly short breaks which
promote existing local activities and attractions - for example
walking, cycling, specialist outdoor pursuits, arts & crafts,
gastronomy and theatre.
We are also interested in properties that further demonstrate
environmental technologies such as the use of local and natural
building materials, heritage environmental features (such as a
water mill, oast house or other old converted use buildings) or
more modern equivalents such as a solar electric roof.
The following are some examples of the types of benefits accommodation
owners could expect from an association with Natural Discovery:
* Increased annual occupancy rates, particularly through low
season
short breaks.
* Marketing support including website exposure and strategic
and targeted campaigns.
* Mutual support, ideas exchange, recommendation and referrals
from like-minded tourism businesses in the network.
* Extra guest facilities to add value to guest experience,
for example
an electric bicycle for guests to use.
* Sales support from Natural Discovery with the freedom to
sell to your
own guests.
* Implementation of a system - central to each property - that
introduces
guests to features of the accommodation, local services and
activities.
* Environmental and energy efficiency support which is likely
to lead
to substantial savings on energy bills. Recognition of environmental
credentials, through an environmental improvement scheme.
* Collective buying power for services such as green tariff
electricity.
* Discounted eco-friendly products from Natural Discovery's
range.
* Offsetting carbon emissions of guest travel and stay by investing
in
low carbon energy efficiency and environmental measures in guest
accommodation and local community projects.
We are very flexible as to the type of commercial agreement
we make. With
some partners we envisage a simple commission agreement on sales
made by us,
with others a consultancy arrangement. Our primary focus, however,
is to bring
value and improved sustainable practice to our partner accommodation.
